My kids never say they are bored but my son may after this weekend.

He took an immediate interest and had a huge aptitude for electronics at a very early age. Electronic games taught him to focus through a great deal of his sensory integration issues so we allowed it for a long while. He taught himself to read using the computer and DVD subtitles.

However, recently, he has been obsessed with the computer. At 10yrs old he has better things to do and he was not focusing on them so my dh and I took the computer out of his room and confiscated all his electronic games.

We will be filling his time with other pursuits for a while. Thanks for the great ideas!
